   The Boreal Orchestra was created in the fall of 2006 and runs on an annual basis as a unique classical music ensemble for the Greater Toronto area and Southern Ontario region - not only providing an opportunity for musical performance of a wide range of repertoire, but also providing community service and education components as well.

   Effective December 2010, members will meet once a week on Fridays for rehearsal at St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, 1080 Finch Avenue East (1 block east of Leslie and Finch), to volunteer their services for concerts given free of charge. Since we do not run a subscription series, the repertoire is open to a wide range of possibilities spanning the centuries and including both new Canadian and international works. We welcome new members of all ages, both professional and seniors, who are interested in sharing their musical abilities with others. Many gifted individuals who have left music for the pursuit of professional fields now have an opportunity to reconnect and make music part of their life in parallel to their chosen career goals.
